Terms of Service
These terms govern your access to and use of Quire. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to them.
Last updated: May 2026
1. Who we are
Quire ("we", "us") is operated by [Full name], trading as Quire, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom (correspondence address: [postal address]). We provide a web application for writing, managing, and exporting penetration-test reports. These Terms form a contract between you (or the organisation you represent) and us. If you accept on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Keep your password secure and notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. You must be at least 18 and use Quire only for lawful security-testing work you are authorised to perform.
3. Subscriptions, trials & billing
New accounts include a free trial. After the trial, continued use of paid features requires an active subscription, billed in advance on a recurring basis via our payment processor, Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout. You authorise us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method each billing period until you cancel.
You can cancel anytime from the billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.
4. Your content
You retain all rights to the reports, findings, and other content you create in Quire ("Your Content"). You grant us only the limited licence needed to host, process, and display it to you so we can provide the service. We do not sell Your Content or use it to train models. How we handle it is described in our Privacy Policy and Security page.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use Quire to break the law, store content you have no right to store, attempt to access other users' data, probe or disrupt the service except via our responsible-disclosure process, or resell the service without our written permission.
6. Availability & changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update features and, on reasonable notice, these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app; continued use after they take effect means you accept them.
7. Termination
You may stop using Quire and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms. On termination you can export Your Content; after a reasonable wind-down period it may be deleted.
8. Disclaimers & liability
Quire is a documentation tool; it does not perform security testing and is not a substitute for professional judgement. The service is provided "as is" without warranties to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Governing law & contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. Questions? Email hello@quire.report.
